Crawfords is seeking a knowledgeable and customer‑focused
Technical Service Advisor
to join our service team. In this role, you’ll be the key link between our customers, technicians, and wider dealership operations—ensuring farmers, contractors, and agricultural businesses receive exceptional technical support and a seamless service experience.
To support the Agricultural workshop team both in the office and within the workshop itself. To assist the workshop manager with day-to‑day tasks and growing the current and future workshop team by providing the opportunity to enhance their skills with training and support.
Responsibilities
Interpret customer concerns and translate them into clear instructions for workshop technicians.
Uses all methods of customer communication, including proactive bookings, phone calls, and in‑person interactions, to schedule and book technician visits, tractor/equipment drop‑offs, and collections.
Liaises with technicians about parts ordering to ensure requisite parts are available when tractor/equipment repairs are required and communicates any timelines to customers in a timely manner.
Planning work to be carried out on farm or in workshop depending on job, workload, and weather.
Plan all work to keep technicians working effectively and efficiently.
Liaising with parts department to ensure all parts are in at the correct time so repairs can be carried out.
Experience and attributes
Strong technical understanding of agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, telehandlers, implements, etc.).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Experience in a service, workshop, or customer‑facing technical role.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Competent with digital systems, service software, and Microsoft Office.
Customer‑focused with a proactive, solution‑driven mindset.
Calm under pressure and comfortable working to deadlines.
Team‑oriented, supportive, and able to collaborate effectively with technicians and sales staff.
Benefits, wellbeing and development
Working Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. One Saturday morning per month, covering phone calls that weekend.
Starting salary of £37k
