
AR / Collections Specialist (Remote)

Responsibilities
AR/Collections Specialist – Remote role in Saint Louis, MO (client: Kforce). The specialist obtains payment updates, collects, maintains, and secures accurate payment on the assigned customer base. Administers timely collection follow‑ups and adheres to collection policies to optimize efforts.
Generates daily high volume of outbound collection outreaches via email/voice calls.
Engages and promptly notifies Management of any customers’ unwillingness to pay per their payment terms.
Maintains over 90% of A/R at 3% collection goal.
Daily pulls an aging report for the assigned customer base; contacts customers with past‑due balances greater than 30 days, documents collection efforts, payment status, billing issues, and resolution status.
Displays a courteous and professional manner when communicating to customers (internal/external).
Documents collection efforts on the ERP system; provides additional support to other departments when necessary to resolve customer issues.
Responds to credit hold queues in a timely fashion (within 2 minutes) to avoid customer delays at the counter or delivery of order.
Monitors assigned shared A/R Credit Department email inbox.
Performs other duties as requested or needed.
Requirements
High School diploma/GED required.
3-5 years of Business-to-Business Collections or relevant experience required.
Intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
Proficient in multi‑tasking and time management.
High degree of personal ethics, customer service, and commitment to safety.
Great oral and written communication skills.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: the lowest to highest compensation reasonably to be paid at posting. Employee pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
