Custodian
A custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities, and collecting trash to ensure the building occupants have a clean space. A custodian's main responsibility is to clean a workspace. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as: Emptying trash cans Dusting all surfaces Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed Washing windows Maintaining a thorough inventory Must accurately complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner. Must follow directives from supervisor/manager. Proactively seek additional work and provide status updates to supervisor. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be able to multitask efficiently and effectively. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
