Role Overview
The CNN International Associate Producer is responsible for duties including preparing in‑house video elements, pulling new material from various sources, and coordinating elements with CNN's various newsgathering and production centers. Duties will include work for news and business shows.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating video needs for assigned shows and ensuring packages, look‑lives, or other media needs are ready for air.
- Reviewing incoming feeds to determine the best material and communicating that information quickly to show teams.
- Serving as a key production liaison, working closely with internal editing and post‑production teams to ensure timely, high‑quality video content for air.
- Having a full understanding of the editorial direction the network takes daily.
- Assisting the writing staff and producing live shots by coordinating video and graphic elements.
- Clipping, writing headlines, pitching segments to digital platforms, and posting to show and anchor social pages.
- Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and overnights.
Qualifications
- BA degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency using Adobe Premiere video editing software.
- Passion for international news, basic news writing skills, and ability to work well under deadline pressure.
