Estimator Position
This Charlotte-based general contractor is a privately held, family-founded business with over four decades of experience and a growing footprint across the Southeast. With a team of around 60, the company focuses primarily on multifamily renovations and CapEx improvements, while also offering restoration, electrical, and specialty trade services. Job Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects in the property industry. Spend 50% of time in office and the other 50% in the field. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope and budget. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for various project components. Monitor project costs and provide updates to ensure budget compliance throughout the project life cycle. Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality. Maintain an up-to-date database of costs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment. Prepare and present cost analysis reports to stakeholders as required.
