About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Direct Marketing Designer who specializes in creating high‑performing design assets for ticketed events, campaigns, and consumer promotions. This role will support the Events Marketing team and collaborate closely with Performance Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Sales to bring campaigns to life through design that drives results.

Key Responsibilities

Design visually compelling, conversion‑optimized assets for email, paid social, digital ads, postcards, landing pages and other direct marketing channels

Partner with marketing leads to develop creative variations for A/B testing and iterating based on performance data

Create scalable design systems and templates for multi‑channel campaigns (e.g., Early Bird sales, loyalty offers, final call, etc.)

Ensure that all assets are aligned to brand guidelines while optimized for direct response

Contribute to campaign strategy by offering insights into layout hierarchy, CTA prominence, and attention‑capturing formats

What Success Looks Like

Increased engagement and conversion rates on direct marketing materials

Shorter turnaround times from concept to execution during high‑volume periods

Clear, actionable creative that aligns with direct marketing goals and consumer behavior

In‑office Expectations
This position is hybrid, in‑office three days per week at the People Inc. headquarters in New York City, with the ability to work remotely for up to two days.

About The Team
The Design Group at People Inc. brings together multiple teams supporting Revenue & Marketing Design, Brand & Editorial Design, Product & UX Design, Design Systems, Creative Operations, Transactional Creative, and Events. Within the group, the Events team leads the creation and execution of Signature Events across the People Inc. brand portfolio, including marquee experiences such as the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and Charleston and Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Summit, among others.

Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Marketing

Experience: 3‑5 Years Experience as a designer within the direct marketing space

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

Strong typography, print, and editorial design skills

Proven digital design experience, including social‑first content and short‑form video (Reels, TikTok)

Experience designing for direct marketing campaigns

Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments with shifting priorities

Strong communication skills; comfortable collaborating with executives, sponsors, vendors, and external partners.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

Publishing or media industry experience

SMS / lifecycle marketing design experience

Motion graphics and animation skills

Illustration capabilities

Web design experience

Assignment Details
40 hours a week

Start date: 6/1/2026

End date: 6 months with potential to extend

Hourly Rate: $65‑75
