Job Title: Experiential Event Production & Promotions Manager
Location: Hybrid, Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg, FL
Position Summary: The Tampa Bay Times is seeking a strategic and creative events leader to grow and elevate its events portfolio. The Experiential Event Production and Promotions Manager leads end-to-end event production and integrated marketing efforts, delivering high-quality, revenue-driving experiences that engage audiences and meet sponsor objectives. This role partners across the organization and oversees the Event & Marketing Specialist to ensure seamless execution and strong brand alignment.
Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of event production from concept through execution, including creative development, logistics, and on-site management.
Design engaging event experiences, including environments, staging, and interactive elements that enhance audience impact.
Manage event logistics, timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams, sponsors, and external partners to align on goals, execution, and audience engagement.
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, print, and media partnerships to drive attendance and awareness.
Oversee event technology and platforms, including A/V, hybrid capabilities, and registration tools.
Ensure seamless on-site execution, including run-of-show management, staffing coordination, and sponsor activations.
Track performance metrics, budgets, and outcomes, delivering post-event reporting and insights to leadership.
Supervise and develop the Event & Marketing Specialist to ensure strong execution across events and campaigns.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or related field.
7+ years of experience in event production, experiential event planning, and event marketing, with a track record of executing complex events.
Strong experience in integrated marketing strategy and campaign execution across multiple channels with community activation components.
Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and revenue-generating events.
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze performance data and apply insights to improve future events and campaigns.
