
Product Analyst

We are looking for a Product Analyst at YC backed ConstructionTech startup. We are looking for a sharp, semi-technical generalist who is excited to dive deep into API documentation and nerd out on the details. This role is being hired to own the product research, QA, and documentation that is currently handled by the Technical PMs and Solutions Engineers, allowing the team to ship high-quality products faster. This is an execution-focused role with a potential growth path to a Product Manager position.
What will you be doing? Become a deep expert on every system we integrate with, including ERPs, field tools, and accounting platforms by diving into their APIs and documentation. Write precise, engineer-ready specifications for new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Design and execute thorough test plans before features ship to catch edge cases and ensure quality. Synthesize feedback from customer call recordings, support tickets, and onboarding observations to translate pain points into actionable specs. Build and maintain internal documentation for integration behaviors, known edge cases, and testing frameworks.
Who you are? 0 - 2 years of experience in a semi- technical role like product operations, engineering, ops, quant research, or similar at a startup. New grads are encouraged (must have startup internship experience) Experience building software products alongside software engineers. Undergrad degree from a
Top 30 university
. Studied a quantitative field (e. g. , CS, Math, Engineering). Hands- on experience with or excitement to work with
APIs, databases, and SQL
. Ability to write precise, engineer- ready technical specifications. Meticulous attention to detail and structured thinking. Must work
in- person in SF 5 days/week
. Demonstrated interest in building things (e. g. , side projects).
