Our client has been a leader in high-performance lubricants since 1951. They are entering their next phase of growth and are seeking a Director of Procurement to lead sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and supply continuity across the enterprise.

The Role You will lead procurement across direct materials, MRO, and indirect spend, owning strategy from supplier selection through contract execution and performance management.
You’ll sit at the center of the business, working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure the right materials are in place to support growth, product performance, and margin.
What You’ll Be Responsible For Build and execute sourcing strategies across
base oils, additives, packaging, and MRO Lead end-to-end sourcing: RFx, negotiations, total cost modeling, and supplier onboarding Develop a
resilient, multi-source supply base
with strong risk mitigation plans Negotiate complex agreements, including
index-based pricing structures Partner with Operations and Planning to ensure
material availability and inventory optimization Establish and track procurement KPIs (cost savings, OTIF, supplier quality, inventory turns, etc.) Lead supplier quality and performance initiatives in partnership with Quality and HSE Build and develop a high-performing procurement team Drive process improvement, systems utilization, and
data-driven decision making
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months) Improved cost structure without compromising product quality Stronger supplier partnerships and reduced supply risk Increased visibility into spend, performance, and forecasting Procurement operating as a
true strategic partner to the business
What We’re Looking For 7+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing leadership Experience in
manufacturing environments,
ideally in chemicals, lubricants, or related industries Deep understanding of
direct materials sourcing tied to production/formulations Proven track record in negotiating complex supplier agreements Strong financial and analytical capability (total cost of ownership mindset) Experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
