Account Representative I
The Account Representative I serves as a liaison between Sherwin Williams' customers, internal departments, and business partners. The Account Representative I is responsible for a limited number of external customer accounts, provides administrative support to the Coil CS department ensuring necessary tasks are completed to support the Coil business and meeting customer requirements. Responsibilities include performing multiple administrative tasks while working with members of multiple departments to respond to customer needs, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring efficient processing of customer critical information.
This position requires 10% travel.
This position is a hybrid role between the candidate's home and our Garland, TX location.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

Full-time regular employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are eligible for:
0-10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, including 1 floating holiday
In the year of hire, 3-13 paid vacation days, prorated based on hire date, including a minimum of 3 frontloaded paid "flex" days which can be used for unplanned absences, such as sick days.
Non-exempt employees who work within the state of Washington will accrue paid sick leave at an accrual rate of 1 hour per every 40 hours worked
Employees who work within the city of Seattle, Washington will accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked
4 workweeks (on a 12 month rolling calendar period) of paid Military leave for employees who are absent from work due to service in the uniformed services
5 days of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of an immediate family member and 3 days of paid Bereavement Leave following the death of any other family member
After one year of employment, two weeks of Paid Parental Leave following the birth, adoption, or placement of a foster child
Responsibilities
Promptly process incoming orders received from external customers via email, phone, fax and EDI
Coordinate and communicate with several internal departments on a daily basis to ensure customer requirements are met. This includes working directly with production scheduling, shipping, purchasing, sales, quality control and other internal departments across Coil coatings plants throughout the US. Maintain customer-required metrics and recurring reports
Responsible for invoicing of customer shipments from manufacturing sites and multiple offsite warehouses
Work with offsite warehouses to ensure accurate shipment information is received and invoice shipments daily
Enter transfer orders from production facilities to multiple offsite warehouses to maintain appropriate inventory levels to service customers
Receiving of transferred material to multiple offsite warehouses and customer consignment warehouses ensuring accurate transactions and trouble-shooting inventory discrepancies
Process all customer consignment billing timely and accurately. Work closely with CSR's on consignment warehouse inventory discrepancies to invoice promptly.
Receiving of transferred material to customer consignment warehouses and correcting system errors with transfers. This includes running weekly reports to troubleshoot failed transfers
Process carrier freight claims timely to ensure Sherwin Williams is compensated for lost and/or damaged material and update Valtrack with required information.
Process customer credits and debits timely to clear short payments and/or clear customer AR balance
Process field and line claims credits timely to customers
Process customer rebates received from Finance timely
Investigate aged inventory and work with demand planning, sales and CS team to determine solutions to stagnate inventories
Communicate customer complaints to site support in detail utilizing Sherwin Williams' internal quality system
Follow-up on customer issues timely and obtain support with key personnel as needed.
Apply departmental policies and procedures to resolve complex situations
Ability to see inconsistencies and offer suggestions for improvement
Work in a close team-environment to provide necessary support to ensure top level service to customers
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a minimum of one (1) year customer service experience
Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Requirements:
Have an Associate's Degree or higher; Preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Have a minimum of two (2) years customer service experience
