As a Senior Director of Development, you will play a critical role in providing leadership, thoughtful planning, and delivery of a comprehensive strategy for the College of Law at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. UNL anchors the campaign, with a goal of $1.5 billion from enthusiastic donors.

This position will work in our Lincoln office.

Ways you will make an impact:

Develop strategic initiatives and plans for identification and cultivation of major gift prospects, and solicitation of transformational gifts for long term success.

Directly communicate with and build a robust community of philanthropic support by partnering with community members, College of Law campus partners, and university leadership.

Holistically plan and implement major and principal gift fundraising.

Lead, coach, and mentor seasoned, highly motivated, fundraising professionals.

What you need:

Minimum Experience : 5+ years of experience in development or a related field with transferable skills.

Preferred Experience : 3+ years of experience managing a team.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal skills and judgement.

Discretion in handling confidential matters.
