About the Opportunity
Our client in the airline industry is seeking a highly experienced
AI & Automation Solutions Developer
to lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered and automation-driven solutions. This is a hands-on, principal-level engineering role focused on building scalable systems, shaping technical strategy, and mentoring engineering teams.
You'll play a key role in transforming how work gets done through AI, low-code
o-code platforms, and modern software engineering practices.
Role Overview
This role serves as a
lead subject matter expert in AI, automation, and full-stack software engineering . You will define long-term technical strategy, build and ship solutions end-to-end, and guide a team of engineers in delivering high-impact business outcomes.
Solutions span:
Custom software and APIs
Cloud-based AI services (LLMs, cognitive services)
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled and automation solutions across an agile environment
Provide technical leadership for a team of ~7 engineers, including mentoring and setting direction
Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable end-to-end systems
Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into AI-driven solutions
Drive best practices in software development (TDD, CI/CD, code reviews, observability)
Influence enterprise AI and automation strategy
Facilitate design sessions, demos, and technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences
Advocate for responsible AI usage, governance, and sustainable automation practices
Required Qualifications
7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong full-stack development experience (C#, Java, or similar)
Experience building high-scale, distributed systems using modern cloud architectures
Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technical initiatives
Hands-on experience with AI/ML or LLM integrations into applications or workflows
Experience with low-code
o-code platforms (preferably Microsoft Power Platform)
Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure, .NET, and Microsoft technology stack
Familiarity with Angular (v10+)
Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Background in DevOps and CI/CD (Azure DevOps preferred)
Experience with test automation and SRE practices
Exposure to tools like Parasoft or IBM Optim
Deep experience with:
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Azure OpenAI / Cognitive Services
AI Builder or similar platforms
Additional Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to work onsite in SeaTac, WA
