Full-Time Community Outreach Specialist
Reports To: Director of Marketing and Community Relations

The Community Outreach Specialist leads community-focused initiatives to increase awareness, access, and utilization of healthcare services. This role focuses on understanding and addressing the unique needs and barriers faced by immigrant families and underserved populations, ensuring equitable access to care. The Outreach & Community Specialist collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and community organizations to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead a comprehensive outreach and community engagement strategy to increase patient acquisition, retention, and service utilization
Plan and execute integrated marketing and outreach campaigns across community, digital, and partner channels to enhance brand presence and impact
Establish and manage high-impact partnerships with community-based organizations, school systems, government agencies, and health plans
Serve as a key external ambassador for the health center, representing the organization at community forums, coalitions, and public events
Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align outreach strategies with organizational priorities and growth objectives
Utilize data analytics and market insights to evaluate program effectiveness, optimize strategies, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold organizational standards in all outreach activities, including availability for some evenings and weekends
Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for some evenings and weekends
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Marketing, Social Services, or a related field required
Knowledge of the healthcare system in New York State, including an understanding of system challenges and barriers faced by immigrant families in accessing care, as well as cultural considerations
3-5 years of experience in a human services or healthcare-related setting, with a focus on outreach and/or marketing, preferably within Chinese-speaking communities
Strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills required
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies for outreach and engagement
Working knowledge of applications such as Excel and PowerPoint required
Professional oral proficiency in English and Chinese required, with demonstrated ability to present and engage effectively
Capable of working a flexible schedule, including availability for some evenings and weekends
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $50,000.00 - 60,000.00 per year
