Director of Transportation

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Must have no convictions of a felony or past criminal history, be in good health as evidenced by completion of a physical examination as prescribed by the Board. Must be of good character and moral behavior; must have proper administrative certification as required by the Kentucky Department of Education; must have valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) with school bus endorsement

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To supervise and coordinate all aspects of the following areas:
  • Mechanics
  • Insurance Programs
  • Transportation
  • Inventory Control
  • Field Trip Management
  • District vehicle inspection
  • BITS
  • Driver Training Program
  • Coordinate School Closings
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the superintendent or his designee

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  1. Work year is comprised of the number of school days as set forth on the school calendar and 55 extended employment days as designated by board policy.
  2. Salary commensurate with adopted certified personnel salary schedule, extended day salary and administrative index.
  3. Sick leave and personal leave provided as stated in board policy.


EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
