Job Description
Project Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Denver, CO): Utilize knowledge of Programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) for building and construction related projects. Create technical documentation, design, coordinated 3D models for complex architectural and structural projects, using CAD and Revit. Perform basic technical and project management duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. Understand and identify project requirements and perform technical engineering design work. Develop Automation systems designs and provide solutions to technical problems per the client’s intent and scope of work in the proposal. Follow quality management process and review project deliverables before submitting to a QA/QC reviewer. Identify and report potential roadblocks that may inhibit the ability to maintain the project scope, schedule and budget. Participate in the professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth by attending meetings, seminars and conferences. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $135,762 - $145,000 per year. The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, & work location.
Bonus:
Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following: Programmable logic controllers (PLC), industrial controls, or Direct Digital Controls (DDC); National Electrical Code (NEC), International Society of Automation (ISA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) accepted design and construction concepts, practices and procedures; Analyzing and interpreting technical documents and specifications, technical procedures and government regulations; Using CAD and Revit; Engineering design and consulting for tenant improvement projects, new construction buildings, central plant work, existing facility upgrades or related markets.
Telecommuting permitted up to 5 days a week.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
