They will take an active part in the development and implementation of an underwriting strategy that identifies profitable market opportunities and key wholesale broker relationships.**How You Will Contribute:*** Underwrite a portfolio of primary and excess private company and non-profit management liability risks – with a focus on new business.* Adhere to company guidelines and underwriting authority, evaluate new business accounts to determine risk acceptability, contractual terms and pricing.* Partner with VP to review and manage overall book performance and production results.* Generate new business opportunities by leveraging wholesale broker contacts.* Manage wholesale broker relationships in assigned territory.* Represent Nexus at networking functions and other professional lines industry-related events.* Remain current on legal and regulatory changes and claim development in order to contribute to portfolio profitability.**Skills & Experience to be Successful:*** Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of management liability underwriting experience.* Demonstrates significant contribution to underwriting profit.* Capable of making independent decisions in alignment with company policies and best practices.* Knowledge of the management liability external market.* Established network of wholesale broker relationships.* Continually seeks opportunities for portfolio growth and potential broker opportunities.**Pay Range**$95k - $125k Annual*The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.***Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being**We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:* *Health Benefits*: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance* *Financial Benefits*: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement* *Mental Health & Wellness*: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services* *Beyond Benefits*: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more.*Not reflective of all benefits.
