Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer focused Full Time Parts Employee to support the daily operations of our Parts Department. This role is responsible for assisting technicians, retail customers, and internal staff by identifying, sourcing, and distributing the correct parts in a timely and efficient manner. The Parts Counter person plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring smooth workflow in the service department, and delivering a positive customer experience.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to navigate parts catalogs and inventory systems are essential. This position offers opportunities for growth within the Parts Department and broader dealership operations.
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
Key Responsibilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Cross‑train with multiple Parts positions such as driver, shipping and receiving, counterperson, and inventory management.
Familiarity with vehicle models, parts, and their applications.
Computer skills: Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and order processing.
Ability to manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ability to effectively sell parts and build customer relationships.
Ability to calculate prices, discounts, and other financial transactions.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)
Valid Driver’s License (required)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. (preferred)
Familiarity with vehicle models, parts, and their applications. (required)
Computer skills: Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and order processing. (preferred)
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. (required)
Work Environment
Fast‑paced automotive service department
Frequent communication with technicians, advisors, and management
Primarily indoor work environment with occasional shop floor interaction.
Ability to stand and move around various service shops and the dealership.
Team‑oriented dealership culture focused on efficiency and customer satisfaction
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $19 - $22 an hour (based off experience)
