Berkot's is seeking Produce Manager applicants for our Manteno location.
Job Responsibilities:
Staffing, hiring, and training all produce department employees
Merchandising displays and special buy in’s
Ensuring Department is up to Safety and Health Code Standards
Understanding company financials and Produce Department impact
Responsible for ordering all products from multiple vendors.
Maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring minimal loss in the Produce Department
Maintain a broad knowledge of produce products
Handle employee relation issues within your departments, partnering with store managers and HR department when needed to address issues.
Helping with company events as pertains to produce department
Other duties assigned as see fit
Scheduling for Produce Department
Keeping department clean and fresh up to Berkot standards
Requirements:
5+ years experience working in Grocery Retail, Specifically Produce department
