VP Product Marketing, Application Development
As a leader within the SAP Marketing team, you will lead product marketing for Joule Studio, SAP’s AI-first agent, application and workflow development offering. You will be a key player in the messaging and positioning and showcasing advancements of Joule Studio and engaging with developer community to accelerate adoption. This role requires strong critical thinking, cross‑functional collaboration, a commercial mindset, and a passion for AI‑driven innovation and developer experiences. It is an exciting, challenging, and highly visible role where your work will directly impact SAP’s success with developers, partners, and enterprise customers—while accelerating AI and agent development leadership for SAP. You will lead a team responsible for showcasing differentiation of Joule Studio, translating new advanced AI capabilities into compelling narratives, solutions, and go‑to‑market motions. You’ll be accountable for the business growth, market adoption, and commercial success of the portfolio, including contributing to product strategy, driving awareness and thought leadership, executing effective marketing programs, and enabling high‑quality engagement with industry analysts.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Area Growth and Product Marketing Strategy: Define the portfolio growth plan and marketing strategy. Incorporate industry trends, market research data and customer requirements to create a holistic solution strategy and product marketing approach.
Core Value Proposition and Campaigns: Develop a compelling value proposition and create compelling messaging for organizations adopting AI‑powered development, including agent creation and rollout scenarios. Land the messaging consistently across all marketing channels & related execution. Define solution‑specific campaigns and drive successful execution to support the customer journey and adoption of the platform.
Go‑To‑Market (GTM) Activities: Own the strategy and delivery of high‑quality go‑to‑market assets, including thought leadership, enablement, bet‑in‑class content and training. Oversee the creation of GTM plans and shape their strategic direction.
Customer and Influencer Engagement: Engage with customers, customer councils, and leaders in the SAP ecosystem to ensure understanding of their current and future needs. Drive high quality dialogue with influencers such as industry experts, analysts and press to further market perception of the portfolio.
People Leadership: Lead a team of marketing professionals. Coach, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience and a track record of success in product marketing or product management spanning product launches, campaigns, platform and developer marketing, analyst relations, web, and events.
Strong understanding of AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, modern low code and pro code application development platforms.
Strong collaborator who can work effectively in a matrixed organization and partner with teams such as Sales, Partner Ecosystem, Corporate Marketing and Product Engineering.
Growth mindset with curiosity, creativity, and willingness to experiment with new approaches.
Experienced people leader who can inspire, develop, and scale high‑performing teams.
MBA preferred.
