Lead, Sponsorship Strategy
The Lead, Sponsorship Strategy role is responsible for developing and activating strategic sponsorships and partnerships that advance brand relevance, audience engagement, and business performance. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to translate enterprise priorities into integrated, results‑driven sponsorship programs that span planning, execution, and optimization.
Role Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of enterprise-level sponsorship strategies aligned to brand objectives and audience priorities.
Identify, evaluate, and advance high‑impact sponsorship and partnership opportunities informed by cultural insights and market trends.
Define and oversee integrated activation strategies that embed sponsorships within broader marketing campaigns and brand platforms.
Serve as the primary cross‑functional liaison, aligning Brand, Media, Analytics, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and agency partners.
Own day‑to‑day program management, including timelines, budgets, deliverables, and partner commitments.
Drive cross‑functional alignment and resolve risks or gaps through proactive communication and solution‑oriented leadership.
Partner with analytics teams to establish success metrics, track performance, and assess program effectiveness.
Synthesize insights and post‑program learnings to inform optimization and future investment decisions.
Support the Director in evaluating new partnership models, sponsorship opportunities, and strategic activation ideas.
Act as a trusted sponsorship subject‑matter expert, influencing stakeholders and contributing to best practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of progressive experience in sponsorship marketing, partnership marketing, experiential marketing, or integrated brand marketing, with a demonstrated increase in scope and complexity.
Proven experience leading the strategy and execution of multi‑channel sponsorships or partnerships from concept through activation, measurement, and optimization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent sponsorship programs, including ownership of timelines, budgets, deliverables, and partner obligations.
Experience working cross‑functionally with marketing, media, analytics, legal/compliance, and operations teams to deliver integrated programs.
Track record of influencing decision‑making and driving alignment among senior stakeholders without direct authority.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy, provide actionable recommendations, and present performance insights.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in regulated industries or large, matrixed organizations.
Familiarity with sponsorship measurement approaches, including brand lift, engagement, and ROI frameworks.
Experience managing agencies and external partners.
Passion for sports, culture, live experiences, and brand storytelling.

The associate selected for this role should anticipate periodic in‑office work to support collaboration, key team meetings, and leadership engagement. Remote options will be considered based on role needs and candidate experience.

Compensation Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $126,300 – $173,700 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
Travel While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings may be required.
