Position Overview
The Strategic Marketing Analyst will support the Strategic Marketing function by transforming complex data into actionable business insights. This role is responsible for analyzing internal sales performance, synthesizing external market intelligence, and enabling data-driven decision-making across product strategy, portfolio planning, and executive communications. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative capabilities with business acumen and the ability to translate data into clear, compelling narratives for cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights Generation
Analyze internal sales, forecast, and performance data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
Develop and maintain dashboards to track KPIs across product lines, regions, and customer segments
Support Long-Term Planning (LTP), TAM/SAM analyses, and market sizing initiatives
Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic decisions and executive request
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Review and synthesize investor reports, earnings releases, and third-party market research (e.g., market reports, analyst briefings)
Track competitive dynamics and industry trends across molecular diagnostics and adjacent markets
Translate external data into implications for portfolio strategy and positioning
Reporting & Executive Communication
Prepare concise, data-driven summaries for executive leadership (e.g., pre-reads, strategy decks, business updates)
Partner with Strategic Marketing and Product Management to support narrative development for key initiatives
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting outputs
Data Infrastructure & Knowledge Management
Develop and maintain a centralized SharePoint repository for market data, analyses, and insights
Establish standardized templates and processes for data storage, reporting, and version control
Improve accessibility and usability of data for cross-functional teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Global/Regional Marketing teams
Support alignment of data inputs across functions to ensure consistency in planning and reporting
Contribute to strategic initiatives that require data modeling and scenario analysis
Education, Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields: Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Finance or related quantitative discipline
2-5 years of experience in an analytical role (e.g., business analyst, commercial analytics, market research)
Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or related industry preferred
Exposure to sales or marketing analytics is a strong plus
Advanced proficiency in Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data manipulation)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with CRM and sales data systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
SharePoint experience (site development, content management) preferred
