Summary
Red Hat’s Global Sales Go-To-Market Strategy, Incentives & Data Analytics organization is seeking a Principal Data Strategy Leader to operate with a high degree of autonomy and lead the integration, automation, and optimization of complex data and analytics solutions. This role extends beyond traditional engineering into program management, AI‑enabled innovation, and enterprise‑scale data product leadership. You will provide technical and strategic leadership across data architecture, reconciliation frameworks, and intelligent automation while driving end‑to‑end program execution across cross‑functional stakeholders. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, ensuring strong data governance, and leveraging AI/ML and modern analytical techniques to deliver high‑impact, decision‑grade data products that power business outcomes.
Program Management & Delivery Leadership
Lead end‑to‑end program execution for complex data initiatives, from requirements through delivery and adoption.
Drive cross‑functional alignment across Data & AI, Finance, Sales Ops, and Incentives teams.
Establish roadmaps, milestones, and governance models to ensure predictable and scalable delivery.
Manage prioritization, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication across global teams.
Champion change management and user enablement, ensuring successful adoption of new data products and platforms.
AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement
Integrate AI/ML and agentic frameworks into data pipelines to enhance automation, anomaly detection, and predictive insights.
Leverage state‑of‑the‑art technologies (e.g., LLMs, RAG architectures, intelligent agents) to modernize data workflows and user experiences.
Partner with Data & AI teams to build scalable, explainable AI‑ready data products.
Identify opportunities to augment traditional analytics with AI‑powered decision frameworks.
Drive experimentation and adoption of emerging technologies across the data ecosystem.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Problem Solving
Partner with Analysts, Engineers, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution.
Apply strong analytical thinking to convert complex data into actionable insights, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
What you will bring
Experience: 10+ years as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, Systems Analyst, or similar role in enterprise environments with large, complex datasets.
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Expert SQL: Deep expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.) and performance optimization.
Expert Python: Strong programming skills for data processing, automation, and analytics.
Modern Data Stack: Experience with DBT, Snowflake, and cloud data architectures.
ELT/ETL Tools: Experience with Fivetran or similar tools.
Autonomy: Operates independently with ownership of large, complex initiatives.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect data architecture with business outcomes.
Program Leadership: Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives across global teams.
Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Agility & Collaboration: Thrives in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments across time zones.
Preferred / Differentiating Skills
Experience with AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, or agentic architectures.
Exposure to data product development and platform thinking.
Familiarity with program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid models).
Experience integrating analytics into business processes (forecasting, incentives, financial modeling).
Salary range: $123,130.00 – $203,100.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
