Manager Community Engagement CNBC CURES
Versant Media, Englewood Cliffs, NJ, United States
Job Description
CNBC Cures is building a dynamic, mission‑driven community focused on the Rare Disease ecosystem—connecting patients, families, advocates, biotech leaders, investors, and policymakers. We are seeking a strategic and empathetic community leader to serve as the frontline ambassador for the franchise, helping cultivate meaningful relationships, strengthen brand presence, and drive measurable impact across platforms and events.
Responsibilities
Serve as the frontline funnel for all CNBC Cures inbound inquiries, applying critical thinking and sound judgment to route opportunities appropriately to editorial, sales, PR, or other internal stakeholders.
Engage directly with Rare Disease families, patients, and advocates with compassion and professionalism—quickly identifying strong opportunities while respectfully responding to those that are not aligned with Cures’ mission or needs.
Lead external relationship management for CNBC Cures in close partnership with the communications team, curating a high‑quality experience for the Cures community and identifying, cultivating, and empowering ambassadors and champions.
Represent CNBC Cures at franchise events and select external Rare Disease community gatherings where CNBC’s presence can meaningfully build awareness and deepen relationships.
Produce and publish daily social content to sustain engagement, grow audience connection, and reinforce Cures’ editorial and mission‑driven priorities.
Measure and track the quality, growth, and impact of the CNBC Cures community, delivering regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Please note: This role is a 2‑year temporary staff position with an end date.
Salary Range: $90,000–$115,000 (bonus eligible)
Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization.
Ability to write and edit accurately in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
Previous experience or demonstrated interest in social media writing, producing, editing, and cross‑platform strategy.
5 years of experience.
