Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC is currently recruiting for a Process Improvement Specialist to join the Alamo Group Ag Americas Team in Selma, Alabama.
Position Summary Bush Hog, RhinoAg, and Dixie Chopper are among the most recognized and successful brands in the Agricultural and Outdoor Power Equipment industries. The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving efficiency, quality, safety, and cost through Lean Manufacturing principles, employee engagement, and structured problem‑solving methods. The specialist will lead improvement events, analyze processes, establish standard work, and train employees to sustain gains.

Essential Functions of the Job
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects across manufacturing assembly operations.
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles, including continuous improvement, structured problem solving, and Kanban systems, to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.
Analyze and enhance process flow, material movement, and line‑side stocking to improve productivity and material availability.
Develop, document, and implement standard work, work methods, and best practices.
Conduct time studies and productivity analyses to establish labor standards and identify improvement opportunities.
Train and coach employees and team members on Lean tools, standard work, and continuous improvement concepts.
Communicate improvement plans, progress, and results clearly through written and verbal presentations.
Support a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement throughout the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)
Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, problem solving, and Kanban systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing assembly environment.
Proven ability to lead teams through Kaizen events and improvement initiatives.
Strong understanding of process flow and material line stocking strategies.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
Ability to train, coach, and mentor others at various organizational levels.
Hands‑on experience with standard work, time studies, and work methods development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
Technical college degree preferred.
3–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a process improvement or Lean‑focused role.
Lean certification and/or formal Lean manufacturing training required (e.g., "Lean Yellow/Green Belt" or equivalent).
