JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chris Coons for Delaware campaign is seeking a full‑time Campaign Manager for the 2026 election cycle. The Campaign Manager will oversee the campaign’s day‑to‑day operations, manage in‑state relationships and support the campaign organization, among other responsibilities.
Location : Wilmington, DE
Start Date : ASAP
Compensation & Benefits : Salary commensurate with experience. Eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage.
Hours : This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and will routinely require evening and weekend work over the course of the election.
Travel : In‑state travel.
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day campaign operations, build effective systems and workflows, and ensure the campaign runs efficiently and professionally.
Work closely with the candidate, consultants and other political staff to develop and execute overall campaign strategy, budget and priorities.
Lead and manage campaign staff and interns, including hiring, setting expectations and ensuring accountability across teams.
Oversee voter contact strategy, including field organizing, digital outreach, volunteer recruitment and coalition engagement.
Establish clear goals, timelines, and metrics for success and ensure data‑driven targeting and efficient use of resources.
Plan and execute candidate and surrogate events and travel in coordination with candidate and relevant staff.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, endorsers, allied organizations and the statewide coordinated campaign.
Foster a cohesive, high‑performing and collaborative campaign culture.
What We’re Looking For
Delaware ties strongly preferred; candidates should have meaningful experience in or deep familiarity with the state’s political landscape and communities.
Self‑starter with strong managerial and operational skills and a demonstrated ability to take ownership of wide‑ranging responsibilities.
Strong strategic judgment and decision‑making skills under pressure.
Deep understanding of voter targeting, campaign tactics and the broader political environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, timeliness and follow‑through.
Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with long hours.
Collaborative mindset and good judgment; ability to work effectively within a flat, team‑oriented culture.
