Job Summary
WDAY is seeking a full‑time Broadcast Multimedia Journalist for a summer internship in 2026 lasting approximately 10–12 weeks. The role involves researching, writing, and delivering compelling stories across multiple platforms, including live and breaking news coverage. Responsibilities include shooting and editing video, conducting interviews, reporting on news and sports as they unfold, and may also serve as a fill‑in anchor for news and sports broadcasts as needed.
Essential Functions
Write stories and conduct interviews on assigned topics.
Shoot and edit video and edit stories for newscasts.
Live reporting and reporting on breaking news and sports stories as they happen.
Act as a fill‑in anchor for both news and sports.
Qualifications
Current candidate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a related field (preferred).
Exceptional written, communication, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record insurable by the company.
Acceptance of an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
Compensation
Expected compensation is approximately $15.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
