
2026 Military Engagement & Marketing Intern

JOB SUMMARY
The Washington Commanders Military Engagement & Marketing Internship is a seasonal position with the Washington Commanders from June 2026 to March 2027. This position will have the opportunity to assist in executing various NFL Salute to Service events throughout the season and support the department with a variety of tasks including but not limited to those listed below.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist with the planning, logistics, and implementation of military engagement events, to include but not limited to Military Appreciation Day at Training Camp, on base activations, and Salute to Service month programming.
Plan and manage season long USO Club activation at Northwest stadium, to include vendor credentialing, gameday set up and breakdown, and entry table support.
Manage gameday ticket distribution, field passes, and stadium military guest escort duties.
Provide essential gameday support for Salute to Service game, to include but not limited to VIP greeting/escort, credential submission and distribution, gameday ticket distribution, VIP suite host, in game honoree credentialing and escort, etc.
Track and respond to email inquiries and requests
Maintain giveaway and autographed merchandise inventory
Manage raffled/auctioned ticket program and distribution
Support the Marketing, Youth Football, and Community Relations departments as needed
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university or college.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and Internet software.
Must be available to work all Commanders home gamedays, varied days and hours and on weekends.
Must be available for full duration of the internship.
Familiarity with military structure and the local DMV military and veteran community preferred.
Must have a strong passion for supporting our armed services, veterans, and their families and a desire to honor, empower, and connect those who serve or have served through the NFL platform.
Ideal role for a junior transitioning service member or military spouse.
