Overview of the Company Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest DMAs (designated market areas) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, the stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week, leveraging consumer, distributor and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s national content. We’re looking for a full‑time reporter with a passion for journalism and a desire to create compelling content on‑screen and behind the scenes across broadcast and streaming platforms. Your role will combine strong editorial, storytelling, live and digital skills to contribute to top‑tier reporting, helping us serve a diverse audience. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as an on‑air presenter of news and weather stories, interviews, and other content for all TV, streaming and digital platforms in a clear, engaging, and meaningful manner. Stay at the frontline of breaking news situations, taking on flexible duties to deliver live reporting that captures the veracity of the moment. Present content live conversationally and with confidence on various platforms. Take charge of coordinating and producing compelling interview segments, ensuring content is informative and resonates with our diverse audience. Demonstrate an exceptional capacity for researching, reporting, and writing broadcast and digital print news copy on deadline, while adhering to station standards for precision and clarity. Independently create unique and compelling content for a variety of digital platforms, including streaming channels, social media, Connected‑TV apps, and other digital media. Show enthusiasm for exploring new storytelling formats and a commitment to prioritizing live and streaming‑first content; be familiar with multi‑platform engagement and experiment with new formats, always thinking audience‑first. Develop and maintain an engaging social media presence that complements the station’s brand image. Understand newsroom production, day‑part reporting needs, and how to create content for multiple platforms. Be willing to travel and present from the field as required. Perform other duties assigned as appropriate and necessary. Minimum Requirements A deep connection to the San Francisco Bay Area is highly favorable—whether you grew up, attended school or have previously worked in the region. High‑school diploma is required; a four‑year college degree is preferred. Candidates should have 3‑5 years of experience with fast‑paced television productions, including live shots, in‑studio work and field interviews. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
