
Account Manager - Channel Marketing

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager – Channel Marketing to join the Audio Video Division in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The Channel Marketing Account Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing strategies and activities that drive revenue through distribution, integrators, and reseller channels. This role serves as a key liaison between sales, partners, and internal marketing teams—owning account-level marketing initiatives, managing MDF investments, and ensuring alignment between business priorities and execution. The ideal candidate has experience in channel or account-based marketing and can independently manage relationships and deliver measurable results.
What Will You Do?
Customer & Partner Engagement
Serve as primary marketing contact for assigned partner accounts
Develop and execute partner-specific marketing plans aligned to sales objectives
Build relationships with distribution partners, DMRs, and reseller accounts
Identify opportunities to drive demand through partner programs
Assume responsibility for successful channel activation of products and programs, including the tracking and reporting of channel-specific activity
Sales Alignment & Support
Partner with Sales Account Managers and leadership to align marketing activities with revenue goals
Support sell‑in, sell‑through, and product adoption initiatives
Provide strategic input on promotions, incentives, and MDF investments
Develop tools, messaging, and campaigns to support sales execution

Program & Budget Management
Manage MDF budgets for assigned accounts, including planning, execution, and ROI tracking
Ensure marketing investments align with business priorities
Provide recommendations to optimize program performance and investment allocation
Coordinate, maintain and report on marketing performance metrics
Maintain company quality and legal compliance by adhering to internal approval processes on all printed materials; initiate corrective action to ensure materials stay up-to-date
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace; cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations
Qualifications
Required Skills
Knowledge of and ability to develop strategic and tactical plans
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Proficient in personal computers, internet, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent project management and planning skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Detail-oriented with excellent follow‑through skills
Positive, energetic attitude with strong work ethic
Ability to multi‑task and manage several projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in a hands‑on, deadline‑driven environment
Experience directing cross‑functional team activities
High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
Comfortable using powered tools for product and display assembly and trade‑show set‑up
Minimum Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in marketing, channel marketing, or account‑based marketing
Experience in a customer‑facing or revenue‑supporting marketing role required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with distribution, reseller, or partner ecosystems
Demonstrated ability to manage partner relationships and influence stakeholders
Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit and perform coordinated finger movements for data entry on a keyboard
General office environment
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Long‑distance or air travel as needed (not to exceed 10% travel)
Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000 annually.
