Insurance Representative
We are looking for an Insurance Representative for our client in Middleburg Heights! You will be responsible for following up on outstanding claims, resolving insurance and patient balance issues, and ensuring accurate reimbursement through effective communication, research, and problem-solving. This role requires strong attention to detail, working knowledge of billing regulations, and the ability to meet production and quality standards consistently. Position Details: Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm On site position Direct Hire Opportunity Key Responsibilities: Follow up on and resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances. Communicate with insurance payers and patients to address claim rejections and unpaid balances. Respond to payer correspondence in a timely and professional manner. Draft appeals for denied claims. Research insurance payment retractions and determine necessary actions. Investigate overpayments and coordinate with Treasury for resolution. Monitor payer behavior and notify management of trends or claim-processing issues. Review and resolve electronic claim rejections. Research claim information using payer web portals. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Previous experience communicating with insurance companies over the phone. Knowledge of third-party billing rules and regulations. Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic coding concepts. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Skills & Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing policies, regulations, and procedures. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interact effectively with patients, payers, and internal team members. Consistent ability to meet production and quality goals. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
