Loan Servicing Specialist

The Loan Servicing Specialist will be an expert on the Core System for Loans. This position will perform a variety of Loan Servicing functions in connection with Commercial, Real Estate and Consumer loans. The responsibilities of this position will include reviewing and completing loan maintenance requests received for all loans. The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for providing loan servicing support to all lending staff of the bank. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for posting all effective dated payments, reversals, refunds, and adjustments. Researches and corrects operational errors by working with others within the bank or the Bank's core provider. Maintains and demonstrates proficiency with loan software applications that interface with our Core System. Reconcile monthly GLs for accounting. Sets up and maintains automatic payments and sweeps in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Review loan transactions for accuracy and make adjustments or corrections when needed, in accordance with policy and procedure. Provide effective customer service and assist in resolving problems for customers and branch staff. Review various daily, weekly, and monthly loan servicing reports and make required adjustments. Processes advances, loan payments, and loan maintenance by direct input to the bank's core system. Review and correct Monetary Transactions such as Loan Unposted Items. Processing of loan account risk rating changes. Process loan charge-off and non-accrual requests. Perform effective dated maintenance as noted in attorney-prepared loan documents. Analyze and review loan history to ensure transactions and rate changes are correct. Submit credit bureau corrections. Monthly maintenance of SCRA loans. Process officer change requests. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions, including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank's standard of conduct. Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred Two years of lending assistant experience or working with loan transactions. General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
