Bar Porter (2)

The Bar Porter will assist in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and all other necessities and taking on other duties to support the Bartender so that the bar operates smoothly.

Responsibilities

Assisting with opening and closing duties

Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, beer, glassware, straws and napkins etc.

Keeping the bar clean by washing down surfaces, cleaning floor mats, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.

Responsible proper use and storage of chemicals

Ensure glasswasher is cleaned daily

Learning about menu items, memorizing cocktail recipes and making cocktails

Reorganize furniture safely and protect the assets

Receival and delivery of bar stock from storeroom to bar or bar-storage accurately.

Must attend meetings and training

Must be professionally attired on the job

Skills

Required to work on shifts and at times for extended hours

Required to lift items and stock various beverages

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and ability to follow safety standards
