Artist, Creative Development – Disney & Pixar Games
Join our talented Creative Team at Disney & Pixar Games. We seek a highly creative, motivated individual to partner with leading game developers worldwide to build next‑generation Disney & Pixar Games.
As Artist, Creative Development you will provide visual guidance and brand feedback and offer concept and design support to external development teams for mobile, console and PC titles.
Your role involves reviewing visual development submissions, offering feedback, and guiding visual design through our characters and worlds to ensure every game is compelling and authentic Disney & Pixar experience.
This full‑time on‑site position requires relocation to Southern California. You will report to the Lead Artist, Creative Development.
You must also submit a digital portfolio.
What You Will Do
Support visual design on small to medium projects as an expert on Disney & Pixar worlds, stories, and characters.
Drive visual quality and brand integrity of assigned projects under the Lead Creative’s oversight.
Collaborate with external partners throughout the product lifecycle—from ideation to release and live operations.
Provide visual feedback, guidance, resources, and direction via draw‑overs, painter‑overs, and written notes.
Problem‑solve brand and visual design challenges, continuously improving product aesthetics.
Communicate and collaborate with Product Development and Brand Relations teams.
Contribute to internal projects such as team branding, presentation decks, and unique executions.
Collaborate with partners to create gameplay experiences that authentically represent our brands.
Work within Disney and Pixar IP guidelines to ensure mindful, authentic, and respectful art direction.
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of game development experience on mobile, console or PC.
Shipped games with live‑operations components.
Worked on IP‑based content.
Strong portfolio of compelling artwork and illustrations.
Enthusiastic Disney & Pixar fan.
Avid gamer, staying current on new titles and platforms.
Excellent 2D art skills, capable of drawing Disney‑like characters and worlds.
Solid skills in one or more art backgrounds: character design, 2D animation, 3D art, environmental design, UI design.
Ability to execute multiple art styles.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to present feedback clearly.
Proactive, reliable, passionate, and disciplined.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop; Illustrator a plus).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with a 3D package.
Experience with graphic art including UI, logo design, presentation deck graphics, and branding.
Experience in game development production or concept pre‑production.

Hiring range: $79,400 to $106,400 per year. Compensation may vary by region and experience.
