Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle databases to ensure high performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with experience in implementing disaster recovery strategies and supporting mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities: Database Administration:
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database instances. Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, and views.
Database Performance Optimization:
Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and ensure efficient SQL execution.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration. Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Goldengate is a plus. Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/18c/19c/21c or higher.
Technical Skills:
In-depth understanding of Oracle database architecture and data management. Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database scripting. Proficiency in performance tuning, backup, recovery, and database replication. Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL*Plus, TOAD, etc.). Experience with cloud-based Oracle database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, etc.) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
