Marketing & Creative Intern

Nashville Public Radio, Los Angeles, CA, United States

Company Description Axia is a multidisciplinary creative agency founded by Creative Director Marika Adamopoulos and Design Director Natalie Krasik. We partner with consumer startups and growth‑stage brands across wellness, beauty, food & beverage, and lifestyle, helping them build brand foundations that are designed to scale. Our capabilities range across brand strategy and identity, to full‑scope design services, production, campaigns, paid and organic creative, and more.

We work directly with founders and marketing teams. No account managers, no handoffs. Our client list includes Equip Foods, California Naturals, SmartyPants Vitamins, Perelel Health, Aura House, and Innersense Beauty.

Role Description Marketing & Creative Internship 10-15/hrs per week (flexible based on your college course schedule)

Hybrid: Ideally based in Southern California

Unpaid: For college credit

We’re looking for a driven, brand‑obsessed intern to join Axia for the spring/summer semester.

This is a hybrid marketing and creative role. You’ll split your time between helping execute our internal content and marketing and outreach strategy and support on creative production across client and agency work.

If you spend your free time dissecting why certain brands work, are someone who is dying to try the latest product innovations, screenshot packaging that stops you mid‑scroll, and have opinions about what makes a TikTok hook land, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do Marketing Execution

Schedule and cross‑post content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn

Write first‑draft captions from video transcripts and creative briefs

Manage and update our outreach contact list and pipeline tracker

Research brands and founders for personalized outreach

Track engagement metrics and flag what’s working

Support newsletter drafting and email sequence prep

Research LA events, award programs, and PR opportunities

Creative Support

Assist with mood board creation and visual research for client projects

Gather and organize reference imagery for brand and campaign work

Support asset organization and file management across client projects

Help prep decks, case study materials, and presentation layouts

Assist with photo and video production logistics when needed

Collaborate on design projects related to brand identity, packaging, paid media, and more.

Contribute ideas in team creative reviews. Your POV is welcome!

What You’ll Get

Direct mentorship from two senior founders, a Creative Director and a Design Director, with almost two decades of combined experience building and marketing consumer brands.

Exposure to real client work across brand strategy, creative direction, content, and production.

A front‑row seat to how a venture‑style agency is built from the ground up.

Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered marketing and creative workflows.

A portfolio of real work you actually contributed to, not fake case studies.

College credit that counts toward your degree requirements.

Qualifications

You’re currently enrolled in a design, marketing, communications, or related program and can receive college credit for this internship.

You’re fluent in Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn as a content creator, not just a user. You understand what makes content perform natively on each platform.

You have strong visual instincts. You understand the difference between something that looks good and something that’s strategically right for a brand.

You’re already using AI tools in your workflow; Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar. You’re not afraid to experiment.

You’re obsessed with consumer brands. You follow founders, read about launches, and have opinions about why certain brands connect and others don’t.

You write well. Captions, emails, and short‑form copy come naturally to you.

You’re organized and self‑directed. At a small agency, you’ll have real ownership over your work. We need someone who can manage their own time and deliverables.

You’re based in or near Los Angeles or Orange County and can come in for some in‑person work.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite

Experience with email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)

Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)

A personal Instagram, TikTok, or portfolio that shows your creative sensibility
