In this role, a Cloud Sales Representative will drive revenue and help high‑potential startups choose AWS as their cloud platform. The core responsibility is to ensure new and high‑potential startups adopt AWS by partnering with technical, business development, marketing, solution architecture, and partner teams to develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies.
The ideal candidate has strong sales acumen, knowledge of the startup ecosystem, and passion for AI/ML. Extensive collaboration with external and internal stakeholders is key to building and executing plans that meet and exceed sales quota.
Key job responsibilities
Ensure customer success with emerging startups and scaleups
Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical
Accelerate customer adoption through well‑developed sales engagements and successful GTM strategy
Meet or exceed revenue and goal targets
Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
Engage Founders, CxO, Board of Directors and VC influencers to accelerate adoption
Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption
Develop long‑term strategic relationships with key accounts
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technology‑related sales, business development or sales engineering/consulting experience
Experience in technical sales for B2B or in solution‑sales / technology‑related environment
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership while working cross‑functionally across several teams
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of prior work in business development, sales, or sales‑engineering, preferably in the technology, internet and e‑commerce sectors
Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
Profound insights into the startup ecosystem, the main stakeholders and trends
Startup Founder/Startup operating experience in business development, venture capital, or in leadership roles
