We are seeking a skilled
Letter of Credit Specialist
to support the processing and administration of Import, Export, and Standby Letters of Credit across UniCredit Bank GmbH and UniCredit Group SpA legal entities. This role requires deep expertise in trade finance rules, strong operational discipline and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
Issue, amend and advise Import, Export and Standby Letters of Credit for both UniCredit Bank GmbH and UniCredit SpA legal entities.
Examine and negotiate documents in compliance with ICC rules and ISBP guidelines.
Perform daily reviews of internal reporting to ensure accuracy of books and records.
Invoice, track and reconcile incoming fees; manage follow-ups for outstanding payments.
Execute internal processing instructions and maintain accurate LC documentation and files.
Collaborate with account officers, agent banks, accounting teams and other internal departments.
Process Collection and Reimbursement items.
Execute payments via SWIFT.
Handle customer investigations related to trade products.
Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
Maintain an extensive knowledge of ISP98 and UCP 600.
Ensure compliance with embargo, sanctions and regulatory requirements related to Letters of Credit and lending business.
Support adherence to BSA/AML standards as required by Legal & Compliance.
Secondary Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain monthly reports for senior management or account officers detailing activity under trade finance products.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience
Extensive knowledge of ISP98, ISBP, UCP 600, URR 525, and URC 522 .
Experience with SWIFT processing.
Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end Letter of Credit processing experience across both Trade and Standby product lines.
