Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary A qualified Streaming Media Operator is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high‑profile media products to market. By possessing intermediate workflow knowledge and operational experience, this position has proficient and skilled expertise in an analytical/scientific method or operational process, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on‑the‑job experience. In addition, this role will assist in the documentation of workflows and standard operating procedures.

Operate proprietary software for media orchestration

Set up specific workflows for proper streaming on client devices

Utilize publishing controls for media availability

Run automated & manual processes to verify media is available on content delivery networks

Monitor applications to validate media source availability & overall system health

What You Will Do

Responsible for following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues in workflows when they arise

Execute defined processes to validate the quality and availability of live content streams

Record steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise

Field workflow requirements from senior staff and gather data in support of documentation of workflows

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience in live operations or a technology focused role

Experience with live/on-demand streaming

Intermediate understanding of streaming video delivery and transmission workflows

Ability to execute defined processes to validate the quality and availability of live/on-demand content streams.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to execute remedial operations for live and on-demand operational workflows

Ability to monitor and confirm basic health and functionality of front‑end facing features

Ability to communicate directly with Broadcast Engineering & Content Insertion departments regarding video source availability

Required Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

The hiring range for this position in a remote location is $69,700 to $107,300 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
