MANAGER MORTGAGE BANKING
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Lead comprehensive U.S. mortgage and home equity businesses across all sales channels, operations, secondary markets, and servicing. Driving profitability, regulatory excellence, and customer‑centric innovation while optimizing technology, capital allocation, and talent performance.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Direct all mortgage and home equity origination, servicing, and secondary market operations nationwide
Oversee revenue growth, cost efficiency, and balance sheet optimization across all channels
Manage cross‑functional operations including processing, underwriting, closing, quality control, and servicing coordination
Develop and execute integrated business strategy across all internal and external consumer direct channels
Drive secondary market production and mortgage servicing rights optimization
Build and scale emerging sales channels and product innovation
Establish pricing, product development, and market competitiveness strategies
Ensure strict adherence to U.S. and Canadian prudential regulations and investor requirements
Implement robust credit quality monitoring and enterprise risk management processes
Lead CRA/Fair Lending initiatives and compliance protocols
Maintain internal controls and regulatory reporting standards
Own loan origination system (LOS) selection, design, and continuous improvement
Lead digital transformation and servicing platform modernization
Drive automation and process efficiency across all operational functions
Collaborate with IT on technology stack development and implementation
Enhance borrower experience from application through servicing
Develop customer satisfaction measurement and reporting protocols
Align operations with organizational brand values and culture
Simplify and streamline mortgage processes
Manage senior executives and cross‑functional teams
Foster accountability, performance‑based culture, and inclusivity
Build high‑performing teams through coaching, development, and succession planning
Promote collaboration across wealth management, private banking, and consumer banking divisions
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree preferred
15+ years of senior management experience in mortgage banking or consumer lending operations
10+ years in strategic leadership with a proven track record of setting and exceeding performance objectives
Experience with U.S. and Canadian mortgage banking regulators
Additional Qualifications
Deep expertise in mortgage operations, secondary markets, capital allocation, and investor relationships
Demonstrated excellence in operational leadership, process improvement, and continuous innovation
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial acumen
Proven ability to lead large‑scale teams, manage multi‑channel operations, and drive transformational change
Expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and fair lending practices
Technology‑savvy with ability to drive digital transformation
Executive‑level relationship management and cross‑functional collaboration skills
COMPENSATION Starting base salary: $250,000 to $350,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
