What You'll Be Doing (Your Responsibilities)

Process a wide variety of transactions for members including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, payroll adjustments, bank checks, gift cards, VISA cash advances, and IRA deposits/withdrawals in accordance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.

Consistently develop potential new business by uncovering clues and needs during interactions with members, presenting the benefits of our products/services, and referring members to appropriate partners to meet quarterly goals.

Assist in all aspects of opening and closing the branch, serving as backup to the Teller Operations Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager.

Balance the ATM.

Train or assist in training newly hired and regular staff in policies and procedures, focusing on cross‑training to develop sales and skills.

Provide assistance and coaching to other tellers as needed.

Prepare the Check 21 deposit for the branch as needed.

Order and verify daily currency shipment as needed.

Maintain and balance a cash vault.

Balance cash drawer and make settlement of the day’s activities in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

Ensure that cash limits are consistently followed and that cash is kept secure at all times, locked in the vault each night.

Interact with members and staff daily in a prompt, effective, and professional manner.

Assist members with accessing their safe deposit boxes.

Answer telephones, provide information and/or direct callers to the appropriate department or employee.

Adhere to all aspects of the Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act policy and procedures.

Work some Saturdays during the month and occasionally provide temporary coverage in alternate locations for an unplanned absence.

Work toward achieving sale/service goals by attending department meetings, on‑one meetings, and product knowledge and selling skills training on an ongoing basis.

Perform additional duties as requested.

What We’re Looking For (Your Qualifications)

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two years of customer/member service or cash handling/teller experience.

Minimum of one year in a financial institution in a customer service–oriented position preferred.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with members and staff.

Basic math skills; familiarity with keyboard/personal computer; data entry skills required.

Proven cross‑sales ability required.

Flexibility of work hours and proven reliability/dependability required.
