Job Summary As a Digital Content Specialist, you are responsible for providing web content management consultation and governance support to ensure enterprise web governance, brand, legal, information security, and document retention standards are met. The goal is to maintain a well‑organized, user‑friendly web presence that contains relevant content for the user audience and aligns with content owners’ goals.

What You Will Do

Work with business unit partners to develop and maintain content for Caterpillar.com.

Implement best usage of taxonomy, content management techniques, and governance standards.

Work directly with high‑visibility content supporting the Executive Office—Quarterly results, Annual Report, Sustainability report.

Consult with Digital Content Sr. Specialists to define web strategies and new capabilities that meet content owners’ and users’ needs, including developing solutions.

Maintain knowledge of the authoring system or tools, educate content authors on new capabilities, and ensure compliance with enterprise web governance.

What You Have Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques to identify needs and recommend value‑adding solutions.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of decision‑making processes and tools; ability to analyze situations and reach informed decisions.

Software Change Request Management: Ability to manage software change requests from customers, vendors, and internal staff.

Software Engineering: Ability to deliver new or enhanced software products.

Software Problem Management: Ability to manage software problems in installed products.

Software Product Business Knowledge: Managing install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Ability to design, implement, and evaluate acceptance tests for end‑users.

Top Candidates will also have

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications, or equivalent work experience.

Web content experience (content management, development, taxonomy), preferably with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Experience consulting to provide integrated marketing solutions for the enterprise.

Experience with high‑visibility, highly confidential content projects.

Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Google Analytics.

Experience in web design, front‑end development, or related field.

Experience implementing web governance standards.

Experience with WCAG AA 2.1 accessibility standards.

SEO and marketing campaign experience.

Summary Pay Range $89,210.00 – $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits may vary depending on location, level, and performance. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
