Your role and responsibilities Transform the way we engage with clients and partners, while elevating the role of the marketing at IBM as a Manager, Americas Technology Field Marketing supporting our Apptio products.

In this role, you will lead the Apptio field marketing team and own end‑to‑end go‑to‑market execution across the portfolio following integration into IBM MCC. In 2026, Apptio is expected to deliver double‑digit growth and play a key role in driving SaaS transformation within IBM Americas’ $5B Automation Platform business.

As Manager, Americas Technology Field Marketing, Apptio, you will:

Lead, empower, and develop a team of Field Marketers supporting the Apptio portfolio across the Americas, providing stability, clarity, and executional rigor following integration into IBM MCC.

Demonstrate deep expertise of Apptio solutions and client use cases across Americas markets, while coaching and developing others to growth in their knowledge

Own end‑to‑end field marketing execution for Apptio products, translating business priorities and sales plays into integrated omni‑channel marketing plans that create and progress pipeline.

Orchestrate and leverage the collective strength of IBM MCC to deliver on KPIs and business objectives, creating compelling marketing tactics that resonate with client needs and address pipeline gaps

Lead from the front with ‘no daylight between marketing and sales’ with Americas Sales leadership for Apptio

Drive accountability for program budgets, investment decisions, and performance measurement, ensuring clear outcomes and ROI across campaigns and initiatives.

Partner with global marketing, product marketing, demand strategy, and ecosystem teams to localize and land priority programs aligned to Apptio sales plays.

Represent the voice of the field back into extended Americas and Global teams, providing feedback on messaging, programs, and execution effectiveness to continuously improve impact.

Support the ongoing evolution of Apptio marketing as part of the broader Automation portfolio while preserving Apptio domain expertise and market credibility.

This role is ideal for strategic marketing managers with a broad set of integrated, omni‑channel marketing, communications and consultative skills. This role requires at least three days of in‑office presence per week and reports into the Manager, Americas Field Marketing, Automation.

Required technical and professional expertise

Distinguished written and oral English skills; the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels, especially at the executive level

Experience in creating and implementing end‑to‑end marketing plans, leveraging different marketing teams within the organization, including global teams

Experience in working hand‑in‑hand with Sales, familiarity with sales pipeline and forecast concepts

Familiarity with all disciplines of the marketing mix (events, social, ABM, content, digital)

Strong understanding of end‑to‑end digital funnel KPIs and working out marketing leads with sales

Fluency in business and marketing metrics, strategic business planning acumen and ability to quickly adjust based on business needs

Preferred technical and professional experience

Experience working with the US market

Experience working with IBM Apptio products Cloudability, Kubecost, and/or Apptio.

Experience working with Automation Platform products Instana, Turbonomic, Maximo, Terraform (HashiCorp), Vault (HashiCorp), Verify, and/or Hybrid iPaaS

Experience working with remote teams and/or global teams
