Job Description
The Director of Development is responsible for implementing and executing Amnion’s annual fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals, as well as building and maintaining relationships with current and potential donors. The primary areas of responsibility are fundraising and donor development to sustain and expand program services.

Business Administrator & Event/Volunteer Coordinator
QUALIFICATONS:
Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Demonstrate servant leadership by supporting, mentoring, and guiding team members with integrity and purpose.
Exhibit dedication to the Gospel message, sanctity of human life, and a biblical understanding of purity and marriage.
Agree with and uphold Amnion’s Mission and Vision Statement, Statement of Faith, and policies and procedures.
Has a strong understanding of fundraising principles and development practices.
Demonstrates excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Displays strong communication and public speaking skills.
Exhibits database and spreadsheet proficiency.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, administration or related field.
Preferably 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fundraising
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet fundraising goals.
Work with Event Planner to plan and execute fundraising events.
Expand revenue streams: grants, estate planning, stock options, etc.
Identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation donors.
Increase donations to at least double the Director of Development’s salary.
Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Donor Development
Manage all donor portfolios.
Network with current and potential donors.
Work closely with admin team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.
Track donor engagement and retention rates, analyze revenue streams, and make data-driven decisions that help the organization achieve its fundraising goals.
Public Relations
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key contacts within the community; including businesses, civic groups, churches, and philanthropic prospects; and identify potential fundraising opportunities within these groups.
Work closely with the Executive Director to develop the ministry’s public relations efforts including, but not limited to, advertisements, promotional brochures, media exposure, and community appearances by board, staff, and volunteers.
Represent AWC in community events to enhance development efforts.
Assist in creation of print, digital and social media content.
Team Leadership and Management
Provide leadership, performance evaluation, and professional development for the admin team.
Collaborate with other departments to align development efforts with organizational priorities.
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement strategic plans to expand ministry operations and foster relationships with community and church organizations.
Work in conjunction with the Executive Team and Board of Directors to carry out strategic plans to grow the ministry.
Develop and create marketing strategies.
Collaborate with Board of Directors and Executive Director to develop fundraising strategies and goals that align with Amnion’s mission and values.
The Director of Development shall receive yearly written and oral evaluation from the Executive Director.
