
SBA Portfolio Manager

Independently manage and service a portfolio of assigned loans.
Determine whether proper course of action is permitted by the SBA in accordance with SOP guidelines, Federal regulations, and the Bank’s SBA policy.
Elevate loans up to 60 days where debt will not be recouped to the appropriate internal business unit.
Responsible for member service telephone calls and inquiries.
Log, assign and track all received requests.
Review credit reports and other documents affecting repayment ability or payment of SBA loan guarantee.
Prepare and submit deferments for review and approval.
Retrieve credit file.
Exercise decision making and authority to minimize organizational risk by leveraging operational controls.
Contribute to organizational projects and improvement initiatives.
Ensure mitigation strategies have been taken to collect and resolve debts.
Prepare monthly status reports.
Conduct a thorough review of loan collateral and recommend the appropriate course of action to secure or dispose.
Document servicing file with recommendation.
Complete member requests such as multi-funding, not including construction.
Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent banking experience.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ servicing or underwriting experience, preferably with SBA loans.
SBA standard operating procedure knowledge required.
Jack Henry, E-Tran, and Capital Access Financial System experience are preferred.
Working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines.
Comprehensive understanding of SBA lending, operations activities, products, and services.
Desired Skills & Competencies
Ability to resolve issues, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Basic knowledge of bank administration, lending and operations products and services, related State and Federal laws and regulations and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical and management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
