Marketing Coordinator
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing, deadline driven environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Marketing Coordinator masters the customer journey and provides communications for each step: from awareness of business need, to guiding solutions with insights, to nurturing the sales cycle, to achieving preference for our brand, to repeat business and ultimately to customer advocacy. The primary objective of this role is new business acquisition by supporting the sales efforts of our leadership team and Operating Group (OG) representatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, develop, and deliver ongoing internal communications that drive engagement across all operating group levels, while aligning messaging and timing with broader business priorities
Coordinate team-building events and related communications
Maintain oversight of intranet site updates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of content
Write, edit, and design group-wide communications including newsletters, announcements, updates, and leadership messages
Collaborate with marketing leadership to craft compelling storytelling in various mediums
Review and assess the impact of communications efforts and report findings to senior management
Partner with executive administration to plan, organize, and execute multiple annual internal events
Develop and produce all event assets and materials, including:
PowerPoint presentations and visual content
Name tags, signage, and printed materials
Event swag coordination and ordering
Digital graphics and promotional materials
Video content for event presentations (preferred skill)
Coordinate comprehensive event-related team member communications:
Run event preparation meetings with stakeholders
Distribute and track status lists and action items
Manage event timelines and deliverable schedules
Ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
Adjust event timelines, content, and production priorities as needed to accommodate pursuit deadlines and executive availability
Maintain efficient marketing processes, record-keeping systems, and digital asset management ensuring teams can quickly access accurate, up-to-date materials for pursuit-related deliverables
Ensure brand consistency across all internal communications and event materials
Proactively update and maintain evergreen templates and resources
Leverage technology resources to enhance productivity and improve outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business, or related field
Minimum of three years of experience in communications, marketing, or event coordination, including content creation in a business setting
Proven execution of internal communications campaigns and measurable results
Experience coordinating multiple large-scale events simultaneously preferred
B2B or corporate services industry experience preferred
Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B, TN, OPT, etc.)

The base pay range for this role is $59,300 - $80,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
