Global Group Sales Manager – DC Market (Remote Opportunity - East Coast)
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Manager to join our Hyatt Sales Force Meetings & Events team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the broader Hyatt Sales Force team members, Hyatt Hotels Sales Teams, and customers, and will be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company.
The Role The Global Sales Manager, primarily focused on the DC/MD/VA market, is a team player who can work well both independently in this remote role and as part of a larger, dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize sales and profitability, focusing on all markets, while serving as a liaison between customers and hotel-based colleagues.
Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth for the company's DC/MD/VA market accounts in the hospitality industry
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure the successful execution of sales strategies
Serve as a key liaison between the corporate office and local hotel leaders
Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market intelligence to inform sales strategies and tactics
Assist in negotiating contracts, providing support to both the hotel colleagues and customers
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with hotel teams to deliver exceptional service to assigned accounts
Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales results, and report on sales performance to senior management
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Qualifications Experience Required
3+ years of experience in hotel sales
Proven track record in sales, consistently exceeding targets and increasing revenue within the hospitality industry
Strong knowledge of contract processes
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience Preferred
4-year college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Experience in Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
Proficient in Lanyon, CVENT & Envision (or similar CRM tool)
Experience with Cognos, Tableau, Reserve, and Oracle
Experience in hotel sales focused on the DC/MD/VA market is a bonus
Additional Requirements
Must be located in the Eastern time zone of the United States
Must be able to work remotely and independently
Must be able to work in a fast‑paced and very demanding market, including off‑peak hours and days as required
Must have the ability to get creative with customer engagement opportunities
Must be very strategic when working with accounts
Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and collaborate with hotel teams
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards, an annual bonus, monthly or quarterly incentives, etc.
The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
