- Define and champion the overarching user experience vision and strategy in alignment with company goals and market trends
- Shape and drive the long‑term technical strategy for a major product or service in collaboration with the Business Unit (BU) Partner
- Translate high‑level business goals into actionable engineering strategies and ensure the UX function is a core component
- Influence the portfolio and organisational strategy by building strong executive relationships across the BU, cross‑functional engineering teams, and operations (People, Finance, etc.)
- Provide thought leadership on emerging UX trends, methodologies, and technologies, advocating for continuous innovation and improvement
Organisational Leadership & High‑Performing Culture

- Champion organisational structures and cultural practices that promote collaboration and ownership both within your domain and the broader organisation
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence that embodies open source principles, empowering team members to achieve their full potential
- Establish clear goals, KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate organisational performance and drive continuous growth and development
Data‑Driven Customer Centricity & Operational Excellence
- Drive a systemic, customer‑first mindset across a large user experience organisation
- Lead and oversee the end‑to‑end design process, from user research and concept ideation to prototyping, testing and iteration
- Champion a data‑driven culture within your organisation, utilising analytics and financial insights to inform strategic decisions
- Monitor key UX metrics and performance indicators, using data‑driven insights to inform decision‑making and prioritise areas for improvement
- Lead coherent efforts in areas identified for continuous improvement and determine the course of action for organisation‑wide engineering efforts, including establishing and refining processes for a highly efficient, scalable and reliable software delivery model

- Lead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to amplify the User Experience function's impact
- Automate UX Research and Data Analysis by directing the use of AI to analyse vast amounts of user interaction data, synthesise qualitative research (like interviews and surveys), perform sentiment analysis and identify patterns and insights that would be time‑consuming for associates to do manually
- Accelerate design iteration and prototyping through championing AI tools that streamline repetitive tasks like A/B testing, generate design suggestions, assist in wireframing and create functional prototypes from sketches, freeing up designers for complex, creative problem‑solving
- Enable hyper‑personalisation by utilising AI's predictive analytics capabilities to help teams forecast user needs, behaviour and preferences, allowing for the design and delivery of real‑time, personalised and adaptive user experiences at scale
- Enhance accessibility by driving the application of AI‑powered assistive technologies to automatically enhance and personalise interfaces, meet diverse user needs and improve overall accessibility
