Job Summary
Would you like to strengthen your creative skills and learn how animated television is made? Join us for an opportunity to be a part of Disney Television Animation (DTVA) as a Creative Production Intern. DTVA is an industry leader in the creation of animated television products for preschoolers, kids, and tweens. The studio brings programming and production expertise together under the same leadership as Disney Channels Worldwide. This role is excellent if you are curious and eager to learn about animated television! The approximate dates of this internship are from June 2026 through August 2026. If selected for this opportunity, you will report directly to the Artist Manager.

What You Will Do
As a Creative Production Intern for DTVA, you will learn the inner workings of the creative and production side of the organization. You will gain insight into the world of storytelling through exposure to a writer's room, storyboard pitches, casting (recording/ADR session), script breakdown, tracking artwork, and the post‑production process including calling retakes and attending mix/playback to delivery.

You will be assigned to a show(s) on an animated TV series and gain insight into production and artistic staff responsibilities. Not every day is the same as a Production Intern, but you can expect some of the following:

Collaborate with production/creative teams and technical staff on various, ongoing projects.

Shadow and learn the responsibilities of an Artist within a studio environment.

Gain insight into the world of storytelling.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience using MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Prior (external to school) internship within media/entertainment.

Strong interest and passion for animation.

Strong curiosity in television and the entertainment industry.

Knowledge of Disney Television Animation content.

Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience with Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, Storyboard Pro, Illustrator, and Maya a plus.

Education

Junior or Senior year preferred.

A student studying in Animation, Illustration, Sequential Arts, Entertainment Design, or a related discipline.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Possess unrestricted work authorization.

A cover letter indicating your interest in the Disney Television Animation Creative Production Intern, Summer 2026 position is required along with a link to your portfolio/website included on your resume or cover letter. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered for this position.

Additional Information

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through August 2026.

Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.

Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Glendale, California area.

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
