Job Description
We are seeking a talented professional to join our Property and Casualty insurance team as a Commercial Liability Product Expert. In this role you will leverage your industry knowledge and experience to help drive innovation and shape the future of commercial insurance offerings. You will collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to developing, enhancing, and maintaining Commercial General Liability and Excess/Umbrella products, ensuring quality results and exceptional customer service.
As a key member of our organization you will lead projects focused on actuarial product enhancements, work closely with cross‑functional teams on new product initiatives, and serve as a customer‑facing expert. Responsibilities include conducting actuarial analyses, providing insightful presentations, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting regulatory filings.
Responsibilities
Join the team and contribute your knowledge and experience with Property and Casualty insurance to shape industry changes.
Lead the innovation and updates of Commercial Liability product offerings with a focus on Commercial General Liability.
Produce quality results in a timely manner while maintaining a customer focus.
Serve as a customer‑facing product expert for Commercial Liability.
Lead projects to develop enhancements and innovations to actuarial products and procedures for Commercial General Liability and Excess/Umbrella.
Collaborate closely with other departments on new products that may be actuarial or underwriting focused.
Maintain a high level of customer service through product presentations, responses to customer inquiries, and presenting at client meetings or other customer forums.
Provide actuarial analyses in support of, maintaining, and enhancing existing Commercial General Liability actuarial products.
Interact with regulatory authorities to support filings of loss‑cost analyses and new or enhanced products.
Qualifications
Fellow (FCAS) or Associate (ACAS) of the Casualty Actuarial Society preferred.
Ability to lead initiatives, work independently and as part of a team.
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Commercial lines actuarial experience preferred.
Familiarity with predictive analytics modeling.
5+ years’ experience leading and/or significantly contributing to projects, with a strong record of building internal and/or external customer relationships that focus on gaining actionable insights and forming collaborative partnerships.
Technical background including a working knowledge of Office applications and an understanding of computer programming concepts.
Knowledge of Python, Jupyter Notebooks, ETL tools, R, SQL, or Business Rules Engines is a plus.
