Location: Boone, NC. Position Number N38110. Department: Athletics Office. Position Summary: Assist ESPN+ production crew on gameday broadcasts and in‑venue productions for App State home events. Create video content across social media, in‑venue video boards, and
appstatesports.com.
Collaborate with the External Relations team to drive storytelling and brand awareness through social media content, intro/hype videos, highlights, interviews, and student‑athlete features.
Key Responsibilities
Work with ESPN+ production crew on gameday broadcasts and in‑venue productions for App State home events.
Create video content across a variety of platforms – including social media, in‑venue video boards, and
appstatesports.com.
Work in conjunction with the External Relations team to drive storytelling and brand awareness through social media content, intro/hype videos, highlights, interviews, and student‑athlete features.
Work on select nights and weekends (when applicable).
Other duties as assigned.
Reports directly to Director of Sports Productions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment (or equivalent combination of training and experience). All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
One year of experience related to the area of assignment in a broadcast television, radio, and emerging media environment (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for a college or university athletics program.
Four‑year degree in Electronic Media/Broadcasting, Mass Communications or related field.
Experience in live sports production.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Work Schedule / Hours
Work hours vary (25–30 hours per week, 11 months per year). Must be flexible in working hours, including nights, weekends and holidays when needed. Must be able to travel and work for extended periods of time.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour. Pay will be commensurate with applicant competencies, budget, equity and market considerations.
